Train of Thoughts: The First One

It has almost been a week since the Taliban news came out. When I first heard about it, just like for everyone else it took me by shock. The whole concept seems so irrelevant to the 21st century. Where did we go wrong? what did we do wrong? Is it really a time to introspect or a time to fight? Is it just a phase for is it going to turn into forever? So many questions remain unanswered.

It is said that history repeats itself... well, according to me, we study history not to repeat the mistakes from the past. Is this going to lead to a revolution of simply turn into reality? What should I do? HOW DOES IT AFFECT ME? ‘ME’, really is that what I have to be worried about? There are people who are losing lives, women losing everything that belongs to them… every thing that they deserve. Is this a step back where we question upbringings, cultures or just humanity as a whole? Is this how peace is achieved ultimately? I am really not able to wrap my 17-year-old mind around this!

I don’t have a conclusion for this… how can I stop thinking about the children and women who are gifted death without reason or notice! Should I STOP THINKING? May be this too remains unanswered.

[PS: The image has a quote that I wrote for Anti-terrorism day as an assignment (to be honest, I wrote it to attain marks) I never knew this would come back to me in such a horrifying way, where I would have to revisit my own writing and see how all of a sudden it seems so relevant.]

''Culture was created to promote peace not to decivilize further; waging war in the name of culture is a sin and sin means the same in all cultures even in 'Humanity'. "

[DISCRAMIR: This is a subjective, random thought about the topic. I don’t intend to draw any conclusions or blame anyone or anything.]
